Privacy Notice
Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo City, respects your privacy and protects your personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What we collect
For the list of residents and for the documents you request, we collect your name, sex, date and place of birth, civil status, address, contact details, and the information needed for the document (for example the name of your business or employer). For an online account we also collect your e-mail address and a photo of your valid ID. For the Barangay ID we collect your photo and signature.
Face check
To make sure that an online account and the photos sent to us really belong to you, the system compares the face in your valid ID or photo with a selfie or with the face saved in your account. The face is read on your own phone or computer; no other website or company receives it. We keep your selfie and a "face code" (a list of numbers that describes the face, not a picture) only for checking your identity for barangay services. Our staff still looks at the photos and makes the final decision. You may ask the barangay to delete your selfie and face code, but then you need to show your valid ID in person.
Why we collect it
- To keep the official records of the residents of the barangay.
- To check your identity and to prepare the certificates, clearances and IDs you request.
- To inform you about the status of your request.
- To prepare reports required by the government.
How we protect it
Only authorized barangay personnel can open the records, and every access and change is recorded. Uploaded IDs, photos and signatures are kept in a protected folder and are not shown to the public. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form. The QR code on a certificate only shows the type of document, the dates and a partly hidden name.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your information. It may be given to other government offices only when the law requires it.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or update your information. Please visit the barangay hall.
